• $355/person/month including utilities and local phone connection.

As space is limited, housing is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis and we assign two individuals per bedroom.

The local Steamboat Springs Transit operates on a regular schedule through the employee housing area to transport you to town or any of the shopping facilities - and it's free!

How to apply for Employee Housing
After your application for employment has been initially approved, reserving a spot in employee housing is simple. You will have the opportunity to submit your housing application and pay your deposit to guarantee yourself a spot. After your deposit and completed application have been accepted you will be notified of your reservation and you can rest easy knowing you will have a place to stay when you arrive in Steamboat Springs.

Very Important
If you are interested in reserving a spot in employee housing you must:

1. Be offered a full time position with SSRC.
2. Complete and return the Employee Housing Reservation Form to SSRC Housing.

3. Submit your deposit to SSRC. If using a credit card you will need to provide a copy of the front and back of your credit card and fill out a credit card authorization form.

H2B VISA APPLICANTS

General information about our H2B program is listed below:

• Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation sponsors non-U.S. citizens for a work visa (H-2B) to allow them to work for our company in winter seasonal, entry-level positions. At this time, we do not sponsor H-2B visas for summer operations.
• An H-2B Visa is for non-agricultural seasonal, temporary work.
• H-2B Visas are job specific. If you are hired into one of these positions you cannot change positions during the season.
• H-2B Visas are company specific. If approved, you can only work for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation.
• H-2B Visas are time specific (valid for one winter season only).
• H-2B Visas are subject to approval by the Colorado Department of Labor, the United States Department of Labor, the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service and the United States Consulates.
• An H-2B worker may be granted extensions to their H-2B visa, each requiring a new labor certification and INS petition, but the maximum stay cannot exceed three years. Any non-U.S. citizen who has held a H-2B status for three years is barred from another H-2B status until he/she has remained outside of the U.S. for an uninterrupted period of six months.
• You must leave the country by the date specified on the I-94 Card. There is no "grace period".
• If your employment is terminated with SSRC before the end of the season, your H-2B visa is no longer valid and you have 10 days to leave the country. At that time, SSRC, Inc. notifies the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service that you are no longer working for SSRC.

• J-1 visa applicants must be able to meet our seasonal commitment date from November 26, 2009– April 11, 2010. Each position has slightly different commitment dates.
• In order to be eligible for a J-1 visa you must be a current student between the ages of 19 and 30, or have graduated from University within the last 6 months or be in a deferred status.
• SSRC currently works with only a few sponsoring agencies. These agencies usually charge a fee for their services. We recommend contacting an agency if you wish to obtain a J-1 visa. SSRC is not a sponsoring agency for J-1 visas. For winter employment, you can also apply over the website for any open position. If you are hired, the hiring manager can give you a job offer letter to take to your sponsoring agency. This is commonly referred to by sponsoring agencies as the Independent Work & Travel program.
